Hey everyone, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster diode seven wire to six wire wiring kit here on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So, our Roadmaster seven wire to six wire wiring kit's here. We're gonna have a couple different options, as far as the umbilical goes. And the reason for this, it really comes down to what tow bar you have. So, we have the straight cord here. And you'd want to use a straight cord if you had a tow bar with built-in channels that allow you to run the cord through the channels on the tow bar. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and shown you how to install the Roadmaster Diode seven to four wire wiring kit here on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So, our diode wiring kit and our most basic form, it's gonna transfer the signals from our motor home to our towed vehicle. Now, the reason we need to do this is, it's gonna really allow us to remain up to code for all local state rules and regulations. So, while we're in our motor home and we're signaling to others, what we're gonna be doing, we're obviously not gonna be able to see the taillights on the motor home, or at least not very well for those behind you. Therefore, we need to transfer those signals over here to our towed vehicle. So, others on the road can see what we're doing. more

Rob: Hey everybody, Rob at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster High Powered Diode Wiring Kit on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL unlimited. Now you do want to keep in mind this is only going to be one component of a complete flat tow setup. For our Jeep, we're going to need a base plate, wiring, a tow bar, a braking system and safety cables.So we've got our Jeep hooked up to our motor home and you can see that our lights are working in unison and that's because our diodes are going to allow the signal from our motor home to be transferred to our Jeep's tail lights. That way we can safely and securely get down the road because whether we need to slow down or change lanes, we need to have the signals back here just like if we're towing a trailer. That way when we are going down the highway, we go to change lanes and nobody has to look past our Jeep to see the signal because it's going to be all the way back here at the very back.Now there are a few different options of getting those signals to the back of your Jeep. And I really think that diodes are going to be the best solution because we could use magnetic lights like a lot of us have seen in the past, but that's going to bring up a couple more problems. more

Demco Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Demco tail light wiring kit, part number DM9523010. Whenever we're flat-towing our Jeep down the road, it's very important that our light signals match up from the motorhome and the Jeep. That way if we're slowing down or changing lanes, everybody around us knows what's going on, and we can all be safe.Our diode kit is going to take that signal from our motorhome, and transfer it to our jeep, so that they blink and turn on at the same time. The really nice thing about our diodes is that it's not going to change the outward appearance of our Jeep at all, and the fact that once we have it installed, they're not going to have any maintenance. Unlike some of the magnetic lights that we'd have to hook up, run our wire every time we want to tow, we can simply have these already in and we just have the connection cord between our motorhome and Jeep to hook up.Our diodes are also going to make sure that it protects our vehicles wiring. We don't have to worry about any short-circuits or anything that may arise on the motorhome end, because our diodes are only going to let power go through one way. more

It's going to be one of five main components on a flat tow set up. The other four are going to be your base plate, your tow bar, your safety cables, and your braking system. What the diode kit is going to allow you to do, it's going to allow you to utilize the lights on your Jeep while it's being flat towed. How it does that is you're going to get a flexicoil in your kit or umbilical cord that connects your plug here to the plug on the back of your RV.When you turn on the blinker in your RV, that signal is sent through this wire to the taillights on your Jeep. Now what the diodes are actually going to do for you, it's actually going to protect your vehicle from any feedback. more
